A Simple Placeto Come Home

Since 2015, we've been organizing yoga retreats around the world, bringing together practitioners in beautiful locations to practice, connect, and find presence. Today, we also have a small hotel in Ubud where yoga happens naturally—a home base for our retreats and a quiet space for those seeking daily practice.

Our Story

Ahamta Retreats was founded by Shunya in 2015 with a simple idea: create spaces where people can slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves. What started as retreats in India has grown into a journey that has taken us around the world—from the sacred banks of the Ganges in Rishikesh to the mountains of Romania, and now to our home base in Ubud, Bali.

Over the years, we've organized retreats in beautiful locations across different continents, each one a unique gathering of practitioners seeking presence, practice, and authentic connection. We don't promise transformation in seven days or guarantee enlightenment. What we offer is something quieter: a space to practice, to rest, to eat simple, nourishing meals, and to remember what it feels like to be present.

Today, our small hotel in Ubud serves as both a home base for our retreats and a peaceful place for nightly stays. But our heart remains in the retreats—those intimate gatherings where real connection happens, where you see the same faces at morning practice and share meals with people who understand why you came here.

Peaceful workspace and community space

Daily Practice

Morning and evening sessions in our open-air shala. We keep it simple—breath, movement, stillness. All levels welcome. No performance, no pressure, just practice.

Our Teachers

Local and visiting teachers who've been practicing for years. They're here to guide, not to perform. We learn together, grow together, and support each other's journey.

Global Retreats Since 2015

From India to Romania, from mountains to coastlines, we've hosted retreats in beautiful locations around the world. Each retreat is carefully crafted to create space for practice, connection, and presence—no matter where we gather.

Our Philosophy

We believe that yoga isn't about perfect poses or Instagram photos. It's about showing up—on the mat, at the table, in conversation. It's about noticing when you're holding your breath and remembering to let it go.

Our retreats are designed for people who want to slow down, not speed up. For people who are tired of optimizing every moment and ready to experience a few days of simple presence.

Come as you are. Practice as you can. Rest as you need.
